ADVERTORIAL
Today I’d like to tell you more about my days in Stockholm and what the word “Lagom” actually means. I’m pretty sure, the word doesn’t really belong to your vocabulary… but we should change that straight away 🙂
We were invited by Barnängen Beauty, a swedish beauty brand, which is also now available at the german market. I’ve been fallen for the design – the swedish are definitely good at that! The design of the products are so beautifully rectilinear and still flowery, like the perfect balance… but let’s start from the beginning:
Arrived in Stockholm we were welcomed by the Barnängen Beauty team. At the Hobo Hotel (which I can highly recommend) we immediately had the feeling of “Lagom”: A hotel, which is not too fancy, not too hip and still not too simple, just Lagom. The word Lagom means in swedish “Just the right balance!”. Our first common item on the program was a dinner with german bloggers, who all came to stockholm for this event. The location is called “Hallwylska”, a heated inner courtyard among big museum walls. The location was dream-like and the food as well! You should definitely step by for some drinks, if you are in Stockholm. In the next morning we had breakfast together with Nina Laureen, Maren Wolf and Franzi from Zukkermädchen. Even the breakfast was “Lagom”: You just took a tray and stowed it with simple delicacies like sandwiches, chai pudding, smoothies, eggs and delicious kanelbullar. Along with some coffee, tea and everything, the heart desires. Later on we had a boat trip altogether, where we also got to know the international bloggers. The boat trip took 1,5 hours through canals and seas of Stockholm. We could see sweden’s wonderful landscape and meanwhile we had some delicious elderflower lemonade and, of course.. what else, Kanelbullar.
When we arrived at our destination we had an absolute gorgeous view: We arrived exactly during sunset in the woods, we walked along a forest path at the water right up on a hill, where we arrived at a huge wooden house, which was a museum with big window surfaces. There we got nicely welcomed and also got some typical swedish handmade floral wreaths. The actual event was happening at this location. We learned everything about the new brand “Barnängen”: The development of the brand, the composition of every single product and the actual message for what this brand stands for:
Lagom! Not too tight, not too soft, not too oily, not too dry, not too much, just right!
I actually don’t need too much time to be convinced about this brand (available in every drugstore since mid of september). I just loved the feeling of Lagom and I felt related to the products. We meditated, danced, laughed and enjoyed the time together! It was such a great night, which didn’t end too early or too late. Just try the products, maybe you will like them as much as I do! I hope I’ve stirred up your curiosity a little bit! HERE you can check out Barnängen on Facebook and HERE on Instagram. Have a Lagom Day! xx Laura
